The art of Mika Tajima is trained on the relationship between human nature and technology. Spectograms, radiographs, digital geometries—these are the forms her inquiry takes. Tajima’s first exhibition at Pace features three series: “Negative Entropy,” “Anima,” and “Pranayama.” From glass swirled around bronze jet nozzles to colorful paintings in which disorder has been organized into segments, Tajima’s abstract visions expose technology’s heavy hand in a beautiful way. —Clara Molot
