The LA Art Show—the largest and longest-running fair in the City of Angels—returns to the Convention Center for its 31st year, featuring 90 galleries from around the world. One of them is Provident Fine Art, based in Florida, and it represents an unexpected artist. Acting and directing aside, Sylvester Stallone has painted all his life. He produces abstract works in bold color that he says are inspired by Basquiat, Jackson Pollock, and Francis Bacon. To the mild astonishment of the film world, Stallone will unveil recent work at the stand. At John Martin Gallery, you’ll find art by Paul Simonon, the bassist of the Clash. —Elena Clavarino
