Even with social media, studio albums still remain a mystery until the day of their release. There are no behind-the-scenes paparazzi photos or video teasers. There are no trailers, unless you count the singles that sometimes drop a bit before the remaining songs. Harry Styles announced Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally in mid–January, and the world is curious about it. Will it be romantic, as the “kiss” implies? Or groovy, as we infer from “disco”? All we know so far is that the album was inspired by LCD Soundsystem, and that its title refers to a life approach Styles joked about on BBC Radio 1: “Loving, and moving through your life with love, and taking a break now and again to have some fun, I think, is a really good way to approach your life.” It makes sense, considering he’s mostly been off the grid since 2024, spending time outside Rome, reconnecting with himself outside of his fame, and even getting to know the late Martin Parr (thank you for the wonderful interview, Times of London!) So let’s see what the album brings—if its first song, “Aperture,” is any indication, we’re in for a fun ride. —Jeanne Malle
