When it comes to Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones, age is just a number—and retirement is a non-existent concept. At 82, the frontman still dances with effortless vigor, Keith Richards still shreds on guitar, and the London band continues to rock with a landmark 25th album, Foreign Tongues. After reinvigorating their vintage blues-based rock sound with the 2023 album Hackney Diamonds, the band’s latest attacks the state of the American dream, unafraid to confront figures like “mad mogul Mr. Musk.” In addition to the album, a six-episode podcast takes listeners behind the scenes to show how the record was made in just a month at London’s Metropolis Studios. Six decades in, the magic of music-making hasn’t faded for Jagger. “Sometimes you can easily forget and you start to think, ‘This is a job,’” He told the Times. “I can’t think that way about what I do.” —Maggie Turner
