In their satirical sculptures, installations, and performances, the Scandinavian duo Michael Elmgreen and Ingar Dragset reappraise mundane objects and designs. These are the men who brainstormed the “installed sculpture” Prada Marfa—a wildly out-of-place, non-functioning Prada boutique built in an empty stretch of southwest Texas—and Van Gogh’s Ear, the upright swimming pool that visited the Rockefeller Plaza in 2016. For their first solo exhibition in the Czech Republic, the pair explore the complicated relationship between books and art making. Sculptures, performances, and other new works by the duo will occupy the entirety of the gallery space, along with pieces by other artists. —Elena Clavarino
