Cab Ellis is a band I’ve both watched and played with several times. They are one of New York City’s most electric groups of live artists. Connor Abeles, the frontman, has an unmatchable stage presence. From crowd surfing to breaking instruments to spitting beer into the audience, you get a little bit of everything when it comes to excitement. The band’s latest self-titled album came out this year and it’s well worth a listen, but it won’t compare to seeing the guys live. Lucky for you, you’ll have that chance at Berlin, an intimate venue in the city’s East Village. —Henry McGrath
