Bob Dylan first performed at Forest Hills Stadium in August 1965. He was 24, and had just released “Like A Rolling Stone” alongside Bringing It All Back Home, an album split between electric rock on one side and acoustic folk on the other. Fans who heard the turn to electric as a betrayal of the folk tradition booed him from the stands. Sixty-one years later, Dylan returns to Forest Hills with one of the most influential catalogues in American songwriting—six decades of work ranging from the songs that scandalized Forest Hills in 1965 to his most recent album, Rough and Rowdy Ways, released in 2020. —Clara Scholl
