Bob Dylan first performed at Forest Hills Stadium in August 1965. He was 24, and had just released “Like A Rolling Stone” alongside Bringing It All Back Home, an album split between electric rock on one side and acoustic folk on the other. Fans who heard the turn to electric as a betrayal of the folk tradition booed him from the stands.
