Armory Off-Site at the U.S. Open

The USTA Billie Jean Tennis Center in Flushing, New York.

Aug 19 – Sept 8, 2024
Corona Park, Flushing, NY 11368, United States

Agility. Strength. Grace. These qualities will be on full display beginning August 26, when the greatest tennis players in the world descend on Flushing, New York, for the 2024 U.S. Open. In addition to the athletic artistry on the courts, the Armory Show has installed an array of large-scale sculptures across the grounds of the Billie Jean King National Tennis Center. The works, all by artists from under-represented backgrounds, include artist Eva Robarts’s found-material sculpture combining chain-link fencing with old tennis balls, and artist An Te Liu’s bronze re-interpretation of the classic Crouching Venus sculpture. —Paulina Prosnitz
