Finely made French wooden canoe by Pierre Del Mez, Le Perreaux France. Bearing the decal of the maker " Pierre Del Mez Constructeur
43 Quai de Champagne, Le Perreux, (1905 - 1964 mort >listed dates).
All hand fabricated complete with oars, kayak paddle, floor grates X 2 and seat. The bottom has two slatted grates that raises the floor above any water taken in. Mahogany sides, oak and birch frame. Light weight and strong (like an airplane wing). All fastened with small copper and brass nails. Floats, circa 1935-1940
Olde varnish preserved with carnuba wax. VERY NICE , like a sculpture...

- Condition:Wear consistent with age and use. Minor fading. 1stdibs offers no sporting or maritine categories that I was aware of. This was used and comes complete with all the gear to use it again. Great patina and no funky *repairs, patches. Floats. Old varnish finish conserved with carnauba paste wax.
