I recently treated two pair of leather boots with this. One pair is 16 years old. The other is probably 20 years old. With the older pair, I’ve always used just black boot polish (black leather Panama-sole jungle boots). The “newer” pair is what I use in the snow and have never treated them. It took two coats 24-hours apart but the boots look great! More importantly, the shoe grease impregnates the leather and it is well-treated. When water lands on the leather, to beads up and rolls off. Even after treating two pair of leather boots, I probably still have 80% of the product remaining. It doesn’t take much and should last forever. Highly recommended. Oh, and the smell is fantastic. Even my wife liked the smell.

Seems like good leather conditioner, definitely darkens your boots
Seems pretty nice as a leather conditioner, don’t know how water proof or how well it will hold up yet and it does have a pretty strong campfire or wooden type smell at first, I put the grease on my new boots and it definitely darkened them but I like the look and it took out a lot of the scratches and scuffs. I followed the directions, first I put the can in a bowl of warm water and stirred the grease with a butter knife applied a coat over the boots using a gloved hand, let that soak in a bit then applied another coat, waited a bit then wiped it off with a microfiber cloth, im sure if I would have just applied it lightly with the cloth and wiped it off it wouldn’t have turned out so dark but I’m happy so far. This product has prevented my year old Ariat boots from allowing any water inside and I have walked through ankle deep water.
Applied 3 heavy layers straight out of the box and even heavier on the sewing thread around the boot allowed to dry well over night between each application
Once the third layer dried I wore the boot for several days to break them in.
This grease helped the boot break in much quicker and has prevented drying or cracking and gives a soft feel. Does darken the leather so that needs to be made aware of and that needs to be accepted ahead of time. It's a work boot ... who cares. Your feet will thank you 😊
Apply a reapplication every couple months after a good cleaning. Superb product
Will never go without this again.

Works well. Softens Lester boots. Has a clean odor like a mix of outdoors and leather.
Easy to apply with rag, then brush off with buffing brush.
It WILL DARKEN leather. If you have tan boots they will form more like the brown when wet.
It’s a thin oily jelly product. Like a thin and oily gel ointment.
Will revive old leather to look new. softens and makes water resistant.
I like the new dark look but you should try before on something similar just to make sure
Boots in pic were a light tan color. If you look at the color shown on inside of my boots that is about the color they were before applied. Pic taken only 2 hrs after application. I don’t know if it will lighten over time yet.

I bought this primarily as a waterproofing for my leather winter boots. So far it's been good, but not exposed to the toughest tests yet.

What I can say is it absolutely restored my fiancé's terribly scuffed boots with one application. I was genuinely surprised, the toes were bright khaki colored from the wear and overnight they look almost new.
It has a mild pine smell, is safe to apply inside, and it's good for your hands. I've done about 4 applications and used about half a jar, a pair of 8" boots take about an ounce per coat, maybe a bit more the first time.

Rich. Product smells smokey and awesome. Darkens leather significantly. I love what it does to my leather. Lasts a long time. I will buy again.

Def not a poor quality product
I tried this as a test on my leather wallet and I did some research to figure out best application method and I figure 1 rough coat first minimally applied allow to air dry for a good few hrs then apply a thin second coat there u go job done this product will darken light leathers yes the grease has a scent but it’s not strong or off putting which once dry I can’t smell anything coming off leather after air drying over night the surface of leather has a tiny grease feel just noticeable but not overly greasy yes it darkened my leather wallet but if it increases my wallets longevity against the elements that’s a good thing esp moisture no one likes a waterlogged wallet let alone footwearGollamDef not a poor quality product

I do like the sturdy lid seal def reassuring to have a good seal against drying out moisture contaminants remember when u open the can to give it a good stir dependant on how long your cab has been sat on a shelf as I’ve read that the ingredients over time can seperate out into layers mixing ensures you get an even distribution of wax etc
Try not to get grease in grooves top area of can as it can be a bit fiddly to clean I did this myself as I used a chopstick to give my can a stir and got grease in grooves so I took the time to clean it up as I didn’t want to end up with a sticky mess down road
Def like the old style label nice sized lettering instructions on back of can apparently you can use this on leather wallets jackets boots shoes gloves etc just remember this product will darken lighter leathers
Thin coats is best applied by heat of your hand you can always use a lint free cloth to clean off any excess if required I air dried my test piece over night to ensure full absorption and overall I’m pretty happy with this product it melts easily with heat you only need a small amount so this can should go reasonably far def worth the expense
I’ve not tested my wallet against water resistance to see if it has improved resistance any shall have to see hopefully it has I’m gonna be trying this product on my hiking boots etc that’s what I purchased this product for originally
