Plants go through a double-shading process before harvest to yield an abundance of chlorophyll and L-theanine. The leaves are then steamed to prevent oxidation and hand-rolled to break down the cell walls, entrapping the fragrance of gyokuro into the leaves. Once the stems, buds, and leaves are filtered into the highest quality of gyokuro, the organic loose leaves are bundled with a hint of matcha in individual sachets.

Usage instructions: Place a single Umami Sencha tea sachet in a mug. Poor hot water inside the tea mug, temperature just below boiling. Allow to steep for two minutes. Use a single sachet up to 5 steeps. Refill with hot water as needed.

Care instructions: Store tea box inside the fridge for a longer shelf life. Keep tea bags away from the light to preserve the matcha’s chlorophyll content.
