Organic Matcha Gokoro: premium, certified organic gyokuro green tea leaves meticulously stone-ground to perfection. Plants go through a double shading process before harvest and then are steamed to prevent oxidation. Next, they are hand-rolled to break down the cell walls. Finally, the stems, buds, and leaves are sorted and filtered to powderize the tea leaves into matcha using a traditional Japanese stone mill.
Katakuchi matcha bowl: designed with a unique, spouted lip.
Chasen matcha whisk: each whisk starts from one piece of bamboo and is hand-carved into 100 fine bristles by Chafinity’s master artisans. Before whisking, the chasen acts as a bamboo “brush”, blending in all of the loose powder remaining on the sides of the bowl. Creating an “M” motion, the chasen is then used to further break down the Matcha powder. Made in Japan from 100 percent bamboo.
Chasen whisk stand: if the whisk dries prongs up, water will pool in the handle, causing the bamboo to mold. This porcelain stand helps to reshape the chasen back to its original form and extends the longevity of the whisk.
Chashaku matcha scoop: designed to sift out any clumps through a strainer, the chashaku matcha scoop has a sleek bamboo body for an effortless, clean scoop. Each is made from 100 percent bamboo and handcrafted by master artisans from Nara, Japan.
Chakoshi matcha strainer: as matcha naturally clusters due to oxygen exposure, sifting your matcha into an even, fine-powder consistency is an essential step when producing the highest quality foam. The strainer’s stainless mesh can also be used for Chafinity’s gyokuro loose leaves.
