What’s it like to interview Larry David? The author of a new biography on the Curb Your Enthusiasm creator recalls 10 of his favorite exchanges

By Blake J. Harris

Looking back, I still can’t believe that I coaxed Larry David into letting me write his first authorized biography. I also can’t believe that after six years of him assuring me that he was going to hate anything I wrote about him, I managed to prove him wrong. Well, wrong-ish. Here—in his own words—is what he’d officially like to say about the book: “I agreed to do it and immediately regretted it. And still do! But Blake did a good job.”

(Fun fact: When I texted Larry to confirm the wording of the above quote, he replied, “Did I really say, ‘But Blake did a good job’? I must have. Funnier without that, though!”) READ ON
