DESCRIPTION:Oct 16\, 2026 - Jan 1\, 2027\nA decade ago\, Elizabeth Holmes h
ad the world in the palm of her hand. The Stanford dropout was hailed as
“the next Steve Jobs” and her company Theranos\, valued at $9 billion\
, counted investments from Rupert Murdoch and Larry Ellison. Today\, Thera
nos is worth nothing and Holmes is in prison for wire fraud until 2030. Af
ter several documentaries and a limited series starring Amanda Seyfried\,
it seems there should be nothing left to say about the tech con artist. Bu
t no\, the new documentary directed by Nathan Fielder\, television’s mos
t inventive jester\, and Primetime’s Lance Oppenheim offers the most int
imate look at Holmes yet\, capturing her every move during the 34 days bef
ore she began her 11-year prison sentence\, and then following up with her
and her husband for three more years. The directors approach their subjec
t with a healthy dose of skepticism and eerie execution. “We are all sma
rt\, operating at the top of our game yet no one could reach a consensus o
n what was happening in the house\,” Fielder said about the filming proc
ess. “That drove us to keep going.” Their three-hour study of the infa
mous scammer is both revealing and haunting.
