“I Kusama, am the modern Alice in Wonderland,” wrote Yayoi Kusama in 2012. Stepping into one of her famous Infinity Mirror Rooms really does feel like falling down a rabbit hole. Abstract shapes in changing colors are reflected from all angles. And Kusama’s polka dots—her signature silhouette and punctuation mark—possess a sense of otherworldliness.
