Yayoi Kusama

David Zwirner New York: 20th Street New York Art

“Each and every one of us are polka dots,” the Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama said in 2018. “The sun, the moon, the earth and the stars are also polka dots.” In short, polka dots are it. Also, mushroom-like sculptures. David Zwirner will display entirely new work from Kusama—paintings, sculptures, and an immersive installation—as well as a new Infinity Mirror Room, a project Kusama debuted several decades ago, which uses mirrors to multiply her work into a dotty universe. —J.V.
