At the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, the exhibition titled “Women Take the Floor” is meant literally. Pulled from the museum’s holdings, more than 200 works by American women populate a wing on the museum’s third level, where seven galleries each contain one of the following themes: landscape artists, designers, fiber artists, abstract artists, portrait artists, printmakers, and action painters. Reappraisal of the canon continues. —E.C.
