Berlin’s Alte Nationalgalerie was founded in 1867. Its collection, drawn primarily from the 19th and 20th centuries, includes Neoclassical sculpture, works of Romanticism and Impressionism (the museum was among the first to collect the Impressionists), Biedermeier furniture, and early modernists. The beauty of the building, stately and spacious, encourages wandering, an experience digitized in this online introduction to the museum. A concluding video asks visitors what they love best about the Alte Nationalgalerie. —C.J.F.
