DESCRIPTION:Oct 9 - Dec 1\, 2026\nAaron Sorkin never intended to make a fol
low-up to The Social Network. But seeing that the 2010 film ended with the
fact that Facebook was valued at only $25 billion\, it was obvious the co
mpany’s story was far from over. Now valued at $1.90 trillion\, Mark Zuc
kerberg has gone from wunderkind founder to tech oligarch. The Social Reck
oning\, the next installment of Sorkin’s Facebook saga\, traces the fall
out in late 2021 when the company’s product manager Frances Haugen (Mik
ey Madison) leaked internal documents to Jeff Horwitz (Jeremy Allen White)
\, a reporter at the Wall Street Journal\, illustrating how the company kn
owingly aggravated political division and teenage mental health issues. Wh
ile the earlier film centered on investor share battles\, this film takes
a darker turn\, centering on a whistleblower scandal that changed the comp
any’s image forever. Jesse Eisenberg\, who embodied the college-drop-out
-turned-CEO with such neurotic insolence has all but disappeared. In his p
lace\, Jeremy Strong\, with chilling heartlessness\, steps into the role o
f the billionaire titan. “It was like replacing Joe DiMaggio with Mickey
Mantle\,” Sorkin told The New York Times. The movie opens this Friday.
