The nightlife culture that defines Berlin is on indefinite hold, which means that Berghain—the Berlin nightclub that holds more secrets than Pandora’s box—is too. Therefore, it is transforming itself into an art center. A group of 117 Berlin-based contemporary artists have banded together to reflect on the massive societal shifts that have defined 2020 so far. Photography, sculpture, painting, video, sound, performance, and installation—all works were created during these months of quarantine. Exhibiting artists include Olafur Eliasson, Katharina Grosse, Alicja Kwade, Wolfgang Tillmans, and many more. —E.C.
