Storytime with Seth Rogen

Available on Apple podcasts / Podcasts

Seth Rogen is not interested in small talk. In his new podcast, he calls in his friends—some famous, some not—to tell stories. No rambling intros, extended catch-ups, or aimless digressions. Just stories. In the first episode, comedian Quinta Brunson (A Black Lady Sketch Show, Big Mouth) tells Rogen how, at an empty screening of Inglourious Basterds, a conversation with the very sweet Paul Rudd helped her decide to turn away from her Jehovah’s Witness roots and towards Hollywood. This prompts Rogen to wonder: who taught Rudd to be such a gracious celebrity? The question begets a series of calls searching for the origin of Rudd’s kindness. Heavy on sound effects and cut like a documentary TV series, each episode is anchored in one friend’s story. Rogen waits until the second episode to mention his favorite topic, weed. Discussing the differences between European and American joints with David Crosby (of Crosby, Stills, and Nash), he gets quite technical. —J.D.
