Last year, n the 350th anniversary of Rembrandt’s death, celebrations happened all over the world. In the exhibition Rembrandt’s Light, the Dulwich Picture Gallery showcases the master’s use of light, from dramatic theatricality to serene spirituality, in 35 works arranged thematically. The exhibition includes major international loans from The Louvre and Amsterdam’s Rijksmuseum, and because the subject is light, the curators have collaborated with the award-winning cinematographer Peter Suschitzky (Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back) to create powerfully atmospheric and immersive lighting. —L.J.
