The second half of the 20th century produced Italian greats from Oriana Fallaci to Pierpaolo Pasolini. But who was in the wings—or rather, on their desks—urging them forward? Olivetti! A new exhibition focuses on the Olivetti typewriter’s role in a golden age of Italian journalism. That the show takes place in the center of Ivrea is an added bonus: this Piedmontese city in northwestern Italy was home to the Olivetti headquarters. —J.V.
