A pioneer in landscape painting, the Viennese artist Olga Wisinger-Florian was among the first women of her time to gain recognition and fame. How fitting that her maiden name was Florian, “flowering” in Latin, for with flowers she reimagined visual space. Her first solo exhibition, long overdue, includes paintings, biographical documents, and entries from her meticulously kept diaries. —E.C.
