DESCRIPTION:Jun 25-28\, 2026\nThe Watermill Center has come a long and glam
orous way since Robert Wilson set up his creative base and arts incubator
in an abandoned Western Union facility just northeast of Southampton in th
e early 1990s. This weekend sees the bosky campus in blue-chip overdrive w
ith NOMAD Hamptons—the first American edition of the international art\,
architecture\, and design fair. Its ambitious scale and immersive approac
h are of a piece with the large-gestured breadth of Wilson\, who died last
year. Director Nicolas-Bellavance-Lecompte fetches up with Giorgio Armani
as Official Partner\, while close to 30 top-flight galleries keep pace wi
th talks\, performances\, and pilgramages to private collections. Gio Pont
i’s connection to Wilson is honored with Ponti tablescapes. But because
it’s summer\, also feel free to stretch out on the grass with a Giorgio
Armani x NOMAD Picnic by Chef Flynn McGarry. The specially commissioned te
xtiles by Rachel Hayes are a no-go zone for ants.
