Twilight is typically a time of mystery. The sun has set but light still lingers. During his solitary quarantine in Canterbury, U.K., this March and April, the artist Nigel Cooke has drawn inspiration from the hour in-between. The result is six, large-scale drawings. In one of the works, the lines and planes feel organic, in flux; yet in the space beyond this vivid chaos one detects peace. Look closely. Hidden eyes suggest a presence. —E.C.
