Standing in stark defiance to Palm Beach’s most famous resident, the New Wave Art Weekend (NWAW) has made its theme for 2019 inclusion and immigration. To that end, this year sees the establishment of the NWAW Immigrant Artist Residency Program, in partnership with the Pittsburg-based non-profit City of Asylum. Attendees will have access to the best of the Palm Beach art scene: private collection tours, artist talks, gallery openings, and panel discussions organized by Air Mail Editor at Large Isolde Brielmaier—including a conversation between curator Thelma Golden, philanthropist Ann Tenenbaum, and collector Beth Rudin DeWoody. Proceeds will benefit the NWAW Immigrant Artist Residency Program. —J.V.
