Let the arias begin! The Grand Finals Concert of the Metroplitan Opera National Council Auditions is an annual highlight for opera-lovers eager to see America’s next crop of up-and-comers. This year, its 68th season, includes a first: the Semi Finals will be streamed live from locations all around the world. Twenty-three singers, chosen from 141 in the regional rounds, are featured. Traditionally closed to the public, the Semi Finals take place a week before the Finals, letting us in on the background drama.
