Swiss artist Mai-Thu Perret dreams of escaping the horrors of capitalism for a fictionalized Eden, where socialism is the doctrine and men are not much around. Naming the exhibition after William Morris’s novel of 1890, Perret was inspired by Morris’s vision, and she interweaves his with her own, creating colorful abstract tapestries, and ceramics that suggest Matisse cutouts. —E.C.
