Good news for those who wish to visit Machu Picchu but would rather skip the flight and high altitude. For six months beginning in October, travelers can experience the Incan city at the Boca Raton Museum of Art in Florida. An interactive experience that required over six years of preparation, the show features 192 pre-Columbian artifacts—from royal tombs to ancient Andrean anthropomorphic vases to gold plates engraved with menacing faces. The world premiere of the exhibition, which will eventually travel the globe, also includes an edible component. Once a month, a celebrated chef will cook Peruvian food to be enjoyed while taking in the ancient artifacts. —J.D.
