 ortrays queer lives with dignity and force. “I want to help people feel 
 a sense of belonging\,” she told Art Basel in 2024. For the ICA Boston\,
  Babirye has built an entire queer wedding in ceramic—bride\, groom\, ri
 ng bearer\, flower girl\, bridesmaid\, groomsman. A circle of large-scale 
 charred-wood elders and ancestors looks on.
