Landscape For Play: A Playground by Aberrant Architecture

Matadero Madrid Centre for Contemporary Creation / Madrid / Art

Children will run wild at “Landscape for Play,” while adults will ask, How has this urban space been tweaked into such a beguiling interior landscape? Drawing inspiration from the great Dutch playground designer Aldo van Eyck, whose abstract shapes and minimalist jungle gyms spurred far more creativity in kids than the usual swings and slides, Aberrant Architects has designed a new world made of many shapes, for all sizes. —E.C.
