“In comedy, what you do is, you think of something funny, and then you go from there,” Jerry Seinfeld once told The New York Times. Could it really be that simple? If you’re Seinfeld, co-mastermind (alongside Larry David) of what is generally considered the greatest sitcom ever produced, perhaps so. His name will forever be associated with television. But don’t allow his small-screen success to overshadow his aptitude as a stand-up comic. Seinfeld cut his teeth on the New York City comedy-club circuit (not for the faint of heart), and is one of the few comedians who can sufficiently fill a large-scale stadium. His 2023–2024 tour includes a variety of these massive arenas: the Chase Center, Las Vegas’s Colosseum, and the United Center, to name a few. The first legs are in Philadelphia, on October 6, and Boston, on October 7.
