The High scored a coup when it was the first museum in America to show the work of the Dutch-born designer Iris van Herpen. Her exploratory and avant-garde garments are something between Brave New World and The Island of Doctor Moreau, full of hybrid shapes and strange materials. Stunning in a museum setting, van Herpen’s work is just as amazing when viewed online. She has taken inspiration from crows, refinery smoke, mummies, electricity, worms, Gothic cathedrals, and more. This online exhibition, complete with accompanying video, is extremely well done. —L.J.
