Setting a text of her own, the Israeli-born composer Chaya Czernowin turns her microscope on the elusive, often contradictory stirrings of the soul we experience when falling in love. The German director Claus Guth, who since 2000 has shepherded two previous music-theater pieces of Czernowin’s to critical triumph, once again lends a creative hand. —M.G.
