The title of Kiki Smith’s Lausanne exhibition suggests synesthesia, the phenomenon in which sensory pathways or perceptions seem to cross or pull free. Smith’s interest in creaturely intuition and instinct, which derives in the brain and body, floats through her oeuvre. This show of 100 drawings, prints, sculptures, and one video pays special attention to the uncanny in Smith’s art. —L.J.
