“I like chaos, I like noise, I like people,” the British-Moroccan photographer Hassan Hajjaj recently told the Financial Times. Hajjaj is known as “the Andy Warhol of Marrakech,” and the dynamism he admires finds form in his brash and colorful work. London and Marrakech based, Hajjaj combines the cultural symbols of his adopted country with tropes from his home country, often framing his images with rows of brightly-labeled tins, so that a brand becomes a decorative motif. In this exhibition, five series developed over the past three decades of Hajjaj’s career are on display. —E.C.
