DESCRIPTION:Oct 10\, 2026 - Jan 10\, 2027\nAt Dia Beacon\, Haegue Yang’s
new exhibition Through unfolds across both levels of the museum\, using it
s architecture to explore contrasts between light and darkness\, and betwe
en elevated and underground spaces. Drawing on the Five Phases theory of a
ncient Chinese philosophy as well as the music of the Korean composer Isan
 g Yun\, whose Images (1968) sounds throughout the show\, Yang organizes a
series of interconnected works around ideas of transformation\, movement\,
and oscillation. Venetian blinds\, metal louvers\, bells\, light\, and sc
ulptural forms create a dialogue between the two floors\, engaging both th
e geometries of Minimalism and the fluid forms of Postminimalism.
