DESCRIPTION:Jun 5 - Jul 26\, 2026\nAre we in on the joke or the butt of the
joke? For the latest exhibition of work by the London-based artist Savann
ah Harris\, at Harlesden High Street\, an Instagram post solemnly announce
d that “Harlesden has been gentrified and sadly we were overthrown by a
large bakery chain.” The sparse and minimalist chain is called Gloria’
s—suspiciously similar to the ubiquitous London coffee shop Gail’s. St
ill\, while visitors sip generic lattes\, they can also view Harris’s ar
t along with works by four artists described as “mysterious outsiders.
” The show is a response to growing urban gentrification and a shrinking
art world that could altogether disappear if not properly supported.
