“Colors charge us externally and internally,” says the installation artist Jennifer Guidi. “I translate these colors into works every day. On an intuitive level, I am guided by the colors in nature.” Veering away from traditional abstraction and moving into metaphysical domains, Guidi makes minimalist, mandala-like paintings. She names this exhibition after her astrological sign, using opposition—light and darkness, science and mysticism—to explore the connection between cosmic and earthly forces. —E.C.
