Inside Tribeca’s Jenga Tower, designed by Herzog & De Meuron, and flanked by Anish Kapoor’s silver bean sculpture, the architect Lee F. Mindel unveils Galerie56, a space that celebrates the intersection of art, architecture, and design. On now is an exhibition that showcases a different side of the multidisciplinary Italian artist Gaetano Pesce, best known for his playful objects and furniture—think humanoid cabinets and bright felt chairs. Here, Pesce’s drawings are the subject. Fantastical and humorous, these works offer a glimpse into Pesce’s creative process. —C.M.
