In-person art fairs have been given the green light in New York City. Frieze New York—now in its ninth edition—is going ahead as planned, although physical exhibitors have been scaled down from 190 to 60. But good news for those visitors: the trek to Randall’s Island is over. This year, programming has moved to The Shed, a non-profit cultural institution in Hudson Yards. Admission is open only to those who have been vaccinated or can provide negative test results. Galleries to keep an eye on include Perrotin (showing Bernard Frize), Hauser & Wirth (showing Louise Bourgeois and George Condo) and Lehmann Maupin (showing Gilbert & George). —E.C.
