Barely known outside Catalonia, this trumpeter sports a Dizzy goatee on his slim, ephebic face but plays in a supple, chastely classical style that brings to mind both Wynton and Bix. Here he leads a youthful quartet whose music floats, siesta-of-a-faun-like, over the dale between Blue Note and ECM. —E.E.
