Taking its name from the classic surfing documentary of 1966, a new collection of fine art photography captures the spirit of summer’s dog days with images of Hawaii’s waves, the Beatles at the beach, Joni Mitchell lounging in a pool, and N.W.A. in Malibu. Photographers featured in this exhibition include Walter Iooss, Pattie Boyd, Guy Webster, and Lynn Goldsmith. The works evoke the freedom and brightness of that yearlong summer. —J.V.
