Photographer Elisabetta Catalano knows a thing or two about working behind the scene. She was a contributor for major fashion publications, and in 1971 acted in Federico Fellini’s iconic film 8½. In an exhibition that explores the relationship between photography and performance art, Catalano investigates the creative process, using a combination of color photos, prints, and documents to examine the nuances of stage life. Included in the show are portraits of artists Joseph Beuys, Fabio Mauri, Vettor Pisani, Cesare Tacchi, and more. —E.C.
