It’s a Good Day was her big-label debut, and in truth it’s hard to have a bad day when listening to a voice that wraps up—in one breathy, bouncy, unfussy package—the friendliest features of jazz, chanson, and bossa nova. After more than a decade in New York, this French-Dominican singer has moved halfway back to Paris—not to the Azores but to New Orleans, where this gig will be the springboard for a tour that runs through May 12 and includes stops in Berlin, Amsterdam, and Budapest. —E.E.
