 wok in 2021. “I realize my fantasies on paper\, injected with my sense o
 f humor. That’s what turns me on.” The London-based artist was born in
  Hong Kong in 1975\, and his work hovers between the glamorous commercial 
 illustrations of Bob Peak and Harumi Yamaguchi and the homoerotic hyperbol
 e of Tom of Finland. Perhaps best known for his painstaking drawings of pe
 nises—“It’s never my intention to shock and I don’t think my work 
 is confrontational anyway. It’s meant to be humorous. I like dicks\,” 
 said Kwok in the same 2021 interview—his non-explicit work is no less se
 xually charged. Starting on May 18\, London’s Sessions Arts Club—Clerk
 enwell’s gorgeous Grade II listed bar/restaurant/gallery—is showing fo
 ur new dreamily sensual paintings Kwok created for the space. He says they
  were “inspired by 1980s motifs—from fashion editorials and interior d
 esign to cinema\, music videos\, and advertising.” Additionally\, Kwok h
 as collaborated with the restaurant by creating labels for the fifth editi
 on of its Lost Wines Project\, this time a rosé made from Pinot Noir grap
 es\, housed in bottles adorned with his cheeky artwork. The paintings are 
 up through the summer.
