DESCRIPTION:Sep 19\, 2026 - Mar 21\, 2027\nFor more than six decades\, Bruc
e Nauman\, now 84\, has made art out of the strange\, the ordinary\, and t
he occasionally disturbing. Working with neon lights and video\, animal ca
rcasses and industrial materials\, Nauman has continually challenged what
sculpture can be. This exhibition at the Nasher Sculpture Center revisits
his fascination with the animal world. From the generic foam forms of coyo
tes and foxes—used by taxidermists to fill out their skins—Nauman make
s unsettling sculptures that defy spatial logic. On weekends\, the museum
is screening Kara Walker’s new film\, Cooking with Bruce of Whatever You
Want\, an intimate portrait of the artist at his New Mexico studio\, wher
 e the two spend a day cooking\, talking\, and rummaging through Nauman’s
  belongings.
