“No longer shall I paint interiors with men reading and women knitting,” declared Edvard Munch. “I will paint living people who breathe and feel and suffer and love.” Munch did not shy away from extreme feeling, whether in his risky subject matter or his use of color. The 12 artists in this group exhibition have been brought together under the star of Munch, their sensibilities similarly intense and open. Among them are Georg Baselitz, Peter Doig, Ida Ekblad, and Grace Weaver. —E.C.
