Pines, fresh air, and ArtCrush are words synonymous with summer in Aspen. Every August, the Aspen Art Museum organizes a fair that involves leading international art galleries. This year, participants include White Cube, Almine Rech, and Carpenter’s Workshop Gallery, which will be opening temporary pop-up spaces around the city. Among the artists on view throughout are Mary Corse, Cerith Wyn Evans, and Oscar Murillo. A smattering of events will take place around town, including talks and workshops with the artists, and a Sotheby’s online auction of eight contemporary works. To look out for: Prada has created its very own lounge area at the Pine Creek Cookhouse as a part of its latest venture, “Outdoor Mountain,” where pop-ups and installations are inspired by the four seasons.—E.C.
